Alice Gerstenberg
|
Synopsis:
Fourteen
written by Alice Gerstenberg is a comedy about a fancy dinner
party. Mrs. Pringle is trying to arrange a sophisticated dinner
party between her, her daughter, Elaine, and fourteen of her acquaintences.
But, when some of the guests start to phone and say that they
cannot come, Mrs. Pringle starts to get a little frantic and tires
to find perfect substitutes to fill the empty seats before all
the guests arrive. She has a lot of trouble fitting exactly fourteen
people at the table without uninviting some, or removing places

Power
Play
By Lindsay
Price
|
Congratulations to the cast & crew of Power Play for winning 1st place at the VHSL National District Theatre Festival.
Synopsis:
A gunshot is heard.
Which of the five characters did it and why?
Was it the Goth girl?
The football star? The super-intelligent geek?
High school violence
is a hot media topic, but it is too often simplistically portrayed
by putting teens into tidy categories and pointing at the outsider.
Power Play explores
the realities and the stereotypes of high school violence - not
just the brutal shock of the school shooting, but also verbal
harassment and bullying. Violence is about power. So is high school.
