Synopsis:
Ever
get that weird feeling that someone’s watching you? Well,
in “Dinner with the Macguffins,” that’s exactly
how James feels. Throughout the play, he and his girlfriend constantly
get interrupted by members of his family while they try to make-out
in his living room. The ultimate interruption comes when a cell
phone goes off in the audience. This breaks the actor’s “fourth
wall.” James constantly tries to convince his family that
a wall is missing from the side of their house. James’ family
tries to tell him to stop that because it was not true and that
it was crazy. He wouldn’t listen to them. At the end of the
play, James’ stubborn ways come to an end. An unexpected surprise

For Whom the Southern Bell Tolls |
Synopsis:
For Whom the Southern Belle Tolls is a parody of Tennessee
Williams wonderful play The Glass Menagerie. In
this version Amanda, the over-controlling mother is frustrated
with her over-sensitive, hypochondriac son named Lawrence. Lawrence
refuses to leave the house or get a job; he’s too shy to
ever met anyone; and he spends all his time playing with his collection
of glass cocktail stirrers. Lawrence’s more regular and
masculine brother Tom brings home a “feminine caller”
from the warehouse, and Lawrence is overwhelmed by the butch girl,
Ginny who has a hearing problem and shouts all the time. Ginny
and Lawrence eventually sort of hit it off, and she teaches him
how to swagger and talk about baseball in a loud voice. But then
she leaves, and Tom goes off to the movies (where he has a tendency
to meet and bring home sailors who have missed their boat), and
Amanda is stuck forever with hopeless Lawrence |
