Edison IB Theatre and Theatre 3 students studied Shakespeare's
Richard III
in 2006

In December 2006, the IB Theater students participated in The Shakespeare Theatre's program Text Alive! to study Richard III. Through in-school workshops and an in-depth rehearsal/performance process, Edison students worked with other Text Alive! participants from area schools to perform the play onstage at The Shakespeare Theatre and they attended a performance of the play.

Richard III Act I.3 The famous Queen Margaret scene.
The students set the scene in a doll house. Richard is controlling the wind-up dolls, except Queen Margaret frees herself from his control.

Before the performance: the cast gets into hair and make-up on the Metro as they travel to the theatre
